It’s our goal to make your time at Preen wonderful and relaxing.
At Preen we believe “Clear is Kind”. Please refer to the following guidelines so we can give everyone the best service and experience possible. If you have questions regarding any of our salon policies, please contact us at any time.
Consultations
A consult session with your stylist typically lasts 15-30 minutes. We require consultations for new clients prior to scheduling any services. Consultations must be done in person so that we can evaluate the health and condition of your hair and develop a customized service strategy to best serve you. However, in some cases, a video consultation will suffice. Please contact your stylist regarding which type of consultation is best for you. We can not provide consultations over the phone or via email. Once your consultation is completed, your service can be scheduled for a later date.
Cancellations
Please give us 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Kindly respect the time of your stylist and other clients waiting patiently for available appointments. If you must cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full price of your scheduled services. If multiple consecutive cancellations occur, you will need to prepay in order to schedule future services. If you do not show up to your appointment without prior notification, you will not be invited to continue services at Preen.
Illness
Preen is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all. If you are feeling unwell, contact us as soon as possible and we will help you make alternate arrangements for your services.
Product Returns & Exchanges
If you are not satisfied with your product, please let us know. A full refund or store credit will be issued if the product is returned within 30 days.
Running Late
We understand that life is complicated. Sometimes it is unavoidable to run a few minutes late. Please contact us if you find yourself running behind. Depending on the schedule for the day, it is likely that if you are more than 15 minutes late, your service or part of your service will need to be rescheduled for another day. Appointments are scheduled consecutively, and we don't want your appointment to run into another client’s reserved time. The above cancellation policy may be applied.
Arriving Early
Preen is a private session salon and we do our absolute best to keep your reserved time just for you alone. If you arrive early, please be respectful of the client ahead of you. If you arrive more than 15 minutes early for your appointment, please be aware that there may be no one available to receive you.
Children
We only provide services to adults aged 18+. Further, due to safety concerns, children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the salon. If an adult brings a child age 12 or under, the adults's services will need to be rescheduled. There are many dangers present in a salon for a child, and we want to keep everyone happy and safe.
Animals
We love animals and we would love to meet all our client's pets. Unfortunately, Vermont State Law does not allow any animals in the salon with the exception of service animals. We can't allow them inside, and we don't want you to leave them in the car, so please leave your pets at home.
Additional Guests
Preen is a private session salon intended to be a calming sanctuary for you to relax and receive services. If you would like to bring one adult guest with you during your service, please feel free. We will host them just as graciously as we host you. Keep in mind that your stylist will need your full attention, and will need you to be able to keep still at certain points during your service. That can be difficult when you have brought a guest with you. If a guest becomes disruptive, or impedes the quality of the service we can provide, we will ask them to leave.
